First off, “H” bag… that’s kinda broad. Are we talkin’ about *the* Herbag? Or are we talkin’ about bags *with* an H on ’em? See, Hermès loves slapping their logo on everything, subtly of course (yeah, right!).
The Herbag, that’s probably what most people think of when they hear “H bag.” It’s like, the entry-level Hermès, which sounds ridiculous but hey, we’re talking about *Hermès*. It’s supposed to be more casual, more… uh… *accessible* in terms of price. I mean, “accessible” for someone who can casually drop a few grand on a bag, LOL.
Then you got the So… bag. I saw something about a Tote bag So with sizes Hermes Clic H 21, 33. Evercolor calfskin, strap for shoulder or crossbody. Is that also considered a H bag? Maybe.
The Herbag is cool though, I gotta say. It’s got that, like, interchangeable canvas top, which is kinda neat. You can switch it out, change the colour, feel like you’re customizing your ridiculously expensive bag. I guess that’s the fun, right? And they come in tons of colours. Seriously, *tons*. That’s what makes hunting for a used one kinda fun, ’cause you can find some real gems, especially if you’re into, like, vintage-y vibes.
But back to the “H” itself. Hermès ain’t exactly shy about their branding. That lil’ H pops up everywhere. Buckles, clasps, even sometimes subtly embossed into the leather. So technically, *loads* of their bags could be considered “H bags.” It’s more about the *brand*, you know?
And then, this is where my brain kinda explodes, there’s the whole secondhand market thing. You get pre-owned Herbags… and stuff. Makes me wonder, like, how many of these things are actually authentic? Scary thought, right? Especially with how much they cost.
Honestly, trying to neatly define “H bag” with Hermès is kinda impossible. It’s more of a vibe. It’s the Herbag, yes, but it’s also the whole *idea* of a bag that screams “I can afford Hermès, but I’m chill about it.” (Even if you’re not chill at all, inside screaming about the price tag). And the logo H. And the whole status thing.
