Okay, so like, let’s be real. We’ve ALL been there. Scrolling through Insta, drooling over a Celine bag that costs more than my actual rent, and then promptly bursting into tears because, ya know, *reality*. But then…then there are the dupes. The rumors. The whispers of “affordable alternatives.”

And right now, all the buzz is about this M&S faux leather cross body bag. Apparently, according to the interwebs and some eagle-eyed M&S shoppers, it’s a dead ringer for a Celine – I mean, I guess?

I saw something about it on some blog post, all about luxe-inspired dupes, specifically mentioned the Celine and M&S connection. Honestly, with everything else happening in the world (they mentioned it too, haha!), I’ve been trying to avoid shopping as much as possible, but the lure of a potential Celine-esque bag is STRONG.

So, is it *actually* a dupe? Well, that’s the million-dollar (or, more accurately, the £35) question. I mean, let’s be honest, “dupe” is a pretty strong word. It’s faux leather, duh. You’re not gonna get the exact same buttery soft leather as a Celine for that price. That’s just… delusional.

But the *look*? Maybe. I saw a comment someone made, basically saying to just go for it and buy all three! The Celine would set you back a fortune, right? And that kinda makes sense. You could probably buy like, ten of the M&S ones for the price of one Celine.

And I dunno about you, but I’m kinda torn. On one hand, I think dupes can be a fun way to get the vibe of a high-end piece without breaking the bank. On the other, there’s always that nagging feeling that you’re just settling. Like, is it *really* going to scratch that Celine itch? Or will I just be constantly thinking, “Ugh, if only I had the real thing”?

The truth is, probably the latter, lol. But honestly, £35? It’s tempting. I’m kinda thinking of popping down to M&S tomorrow just to *look* at it. Maybe even try it on. No promises though, I may cave and buy it. You know how it is.

Plus, I think it’s cool that people are finding affordable ways to express their style. Maybe instead of focusing on having the “real” thing, we should be celebrating the creativity and resourcefulness of finding something that works for our budget.
