I was scrolling through Reddit the other day (r/lululemon, obvi) and someone was posting about fake EBBs popping up on Poshmark. Like, seriously realistic fakes. They were saying the zipper logo was the big giveaway, and the strap was maybe a bit thinner? I mean, gotta be careful out there, folks. Nobody wants to get scammed. Especially on a BELT BAG.
But then, on the other hand, you got these companies making *actual* dupes. Like, not trying to trick anyone into thinking they’re buying the real deal, but just… offering a similar bag. I saw this article about the “13 Best Lululemon Dupes,” and they were raving about this Pander one. The Pander Everywhere Mini Belt Bag, apparently, is almost identical EXCEPT for the logo. Which, honestly, I’m kinda okay with? Like, I don’t *need* to rep Lululemon to be cool, ya know?
I mean, the whole “dupe with logo” thing is kinda tricky, right? Like, is it *technically* counterfeit? If it’s close enough to the Lululemon logo, maybe? Legal stuff gives me a headache, tbh. BUT if they’re just doing a similar design with a completely different logo, then it’s just a dupe. Which is…fine? I guess?
Honestly, I’m torn. On one hand, I think it’s kinda lame to try and pass off a fake as the real thing. Like, be honest, man! But on the *other* hand, if you’re broke (like me, most of the time), and you just want a cute belt bag, who am I to judge if you grab a Pander bag? As long as you’re not paying full price for a fake thinking it is the real deal.
And hey, maybe the Pander one is even *better* than the Lululemon one! I mean, who knows? Maybe the materials are more durable, or the stitching is stronger, or…idk, maybe it has a secret pocket for snacks. (Okay, that last one is a bit of a stretch, but you get my point.)
Plus, sometimes the logos are just… not that important? Like, I have a purse that looks kinda like a Chanel bag, but it doesn’t have the Chanel logo. And honestly, I don’t even care. It’s a cute purse! End of story.
